Eurocar Close Corporation The Eurocar plant is located in Solomonovo village in Uzhgorod district of Zakarpatye region, within the territory of the Zakarpatye free economic zone.   The construction of the plant began on June 23rd, 2001. The territory of the first stage of development makes 2.71 hectares, the area of the engineering building is 4,320 square meters, and the area of the sector reserved for the second stage of the project is 10 hectares. Production: assembly stage – SKD0; production technology – mini assembly line; models manufactured – all modifications of Skoda Octavia (except 4х4) and Skoda Fabia. The production capacity of the plant currently makes: 15 vehicles per one shift; 4,000 vehicles per year (1 shift); 8,000 vehicles per year (2 shifts). On April 10th 2003 Eurocar Close Corporation and Volkswagen Group concern signed the Memorandum about the launch of the Volkswagen vehicles production at the company’s plant in Solomonovo.
